Ada temen nih nanya: “What is the connection between Indonesia and Suriname?”

Gw jelasin dong bahwa sejak akhir abad-19, tenaga kerja Suriname diimpor dari Hindia Belanda, terutama dari Jawa. Itulah makanya di sana masih banyak keturunan orang-orang Jawa yang semuanya berbicara Jawa Ngoko (sekitar 10an persen gitu deh). Gw sendiri waktu lagi naik kereta pernah ketemu dengan pensiunan janitor Schiphol, doski asal Suriname dan bisa bahasa Jawa dikit2.

Okeee….dah ngarti dong tu temen…. Ngomong dah dia…”Oh, I see the connection now.” Ngegaring dah gw: “Yeah, the connection is now as clear as a Connexxion bus,” hehehehehe….berbakat gak gw jadi Srimulat? 😀
